Match Report
Brighouse OB 4 -
The Old Boys earned a comfortable win that consolidated their position at the top of the league, with a solid performance against a tough, uncompromising Hunslet side, who had recently shown an improvement in form including an 8 – 1 victory last time out against Rothwell.
Right from the kick off, Brighouse took the game to their opponents with fast flowing
football that created havoc for the Hunslet defence. Old Boys centre back Sam Ferguson,

Salem 2 -
Brighouse Old Boys came out on top in the basement battle and moved themselves out of the relegation positions.
At the beginning of the game it was the home side who settled down as Brighouse struggled to get their game going, and they took the lead after 10 minutes when 'keeper Jason Kirby couldn't hold onto a vicious free kick.
The Salem forward Dan Manly was on hand to force the ball home. Gradually the visitors settled down, with central midfielder Adam Williams beginning to exert his influence and the strong running and pace of Pete Kuleczko and James Coates causing problems for the home defence.
The pressure was building up with Adam Bedford having his goal bound strike brilliantly saved by Salem 'keeper Steven Hawksworth. Kuleczko then burst through but his drive narrowly went over the bar. It seemed it wasn't going to be the Old Boy's day when Bedford headed over after a great cross from fullback Charlie McMoran, followed by Steve Ashford seeing his bullet header crashing against bar and bouncing to safety. What a Great Day!
All our sides won today with the WY League teams consolidating their leads at the top of their divisions.
Also the Halifax side made another step to achieving safety in Division 1. Well Done.
